At Guardian Strings, we are dedicated to providing high-quality beginner classical instruments that inspire the next generation of musicians. Our collection includes violins, violas, cellos, and basses, all crafted to meet the needs of students and educational institutions.

Scholarship Instruments
We are committed to helping all students be able to have access to string instruments. For each instrument sold, a $25 donation goes toward scholarship instruments for students and schools in need.

Our staff has over 20 years of string teaching experience and are here to help guide you in choosing the right instrument and accessories. We have played each instrument and had local luthiers ensure their quality.

We collaborate with schools to provide instruments and support for music programs. We offer discounted school/community music program packages.
Your Questions, Answered
Our instruments are all hand carved from spruce and maple. We do not sell instruments made from pressed wood, plywood or laminated wood.

We have instruments made to our specifications and delivered to us right from the factory.

All of our instruments will come with a carbon fiber bow because we know that students don't always remember to loosen their bows and want to extend the life of the bow.
We only sell instrument packages because we want to create a one stop shop for parents who might not know what is needed to be a successful musician.

We will sell all of our accessories separately. However, during our presale, we will only have basic and all star packages available.
Instrument Quality
Our instruments are hand crafted with precision to ensure excellent sound and playability. A luthier in Chicago inspects each instrument to ensure their quality and adjusts anything that isn't up to our standards. All instruments are shipped with factory strings. Upgraded strings will positively change the sound of the instrument.
In home 14 day trial policy
We offer a 14 day in-home trial. We want to make sure all of our customers are happy with their instruments. We know it’s hard to buy an instrument online sight unseen and without playing it first. A credit card charge of half the cost of the package will be placed. We stand behind our product and hope you like it as much as we do. If you would like to keep the instrument package, your credit card will be charged the remaining package price. If after 14 days you would like to return the instrument package, you will need to pay for return shipping. Once inspected by our staff that the instrument, bow and accessories are in good conduction, a refund will be processed.

If you are local in Chicagoland and would like to do an in-home trial, you can pick up directly from our warehouse. We will arrange a time that works best for everyone and you can save on the shipping cost.
Shipping, Delivery & Setup
We offer flat rate shipping in the USA on all of our products. That way there are no surprises on costs. All violin and viola packages ship for $60. All cello packages ship for $100. Cello hard cases have an extra shipping cost.
Schools within 100 miles of Chicago, IL can request instruments be personally delivered instead of shipped. Inquire at strings@guardiantravelgroup.com
